The
Eastern Cowboy Horse back Adventures was born out of a love for
horses, cattle and the outdoors. The Cronk family, who own and
run the ranch, have always lived a life centred on purebred Charolais
cattle and well-trained horses. The “cowboy way of life” has appealed
to many people over the years. People visiting seemed to want
to help and become involved in the “horse” aspect of the ranch
by helping check cattle in the pastures, riding to repair fences
and working in the corrals at various time of the year when cattle
had to be sorted. Leslie decided to start “The Eastern Cowboy
Horseback Adventures” to fill this desire. They knew they were
on the right track with the trail rides when entire families wanted
to return the next day with cameras in hand.
Horses
have always been used on the ranch and are now also being used
for pleasure in ”The Eastern Cowboy Horseback Adventures”. The
family prides itself on raising strong, well-mannered horses that
will safely carry on the trails both the experienced riders, and
those with little experience."We have always known that we
live in God’s Country and have dreamed of sharing the beauty of
our property with other people. We have opened it up to the public
through trail riding year round and other activities such as sleigh
rides in the winter, etc."
The
business of horseback riding involves all four of the Cronk children
– Jessie, Aleris, Emma and Savannah – who all enjoy horses and
have been riding almost before they could walk. Seeing their children
grow up comfortable around horses makes the Cronk Parents want
to share this lifestyle with others through trail rides and riding
instruction.
Lynn
and Leslie and the girls enjoy people and hope to meet many new
faces in the upcoming years.
